The Fair Trek team
After leaving his mother country of Germany over decade ago, Markus fell in love with Laos and its people. He has a passion for social entrepreneurship, and a motivation to give back to the community. His vision to create a more beneficial way for locals to benefit from tourism inspired him to create Fair Trek.
Ask Khamchaen about any village in Laos and chances are he’s already been there. He’s explored and visited some of the most remote and unknown villages in northern Laos. He’s lived in Luang Prabang for 30 years, but calls his Phou Noi village in Phongsaly home. His infectious laugh and humour always lighten the mood!
